Dorothy Mitchell is the owner of Laser Skin Care Solutions. Overseen by plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Peinert, Dorothy and Anjelica are committed to your safety and to delivering exceptional results. Dot provides a variety of services ranging from aesthetic vascular care, body contouring, weight management, fillers and neurotoxins, laser hair removal, and an assortment of facials.
Dot created the company in 2002. She holds a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Colorado and a Master’s in Business Administration degree in Health Care Management from Boston University. With more than 20 years of experience in the health and beauty fields, Dot has worked in a variety of domains over her career (Children’s Hospital, BWH, BMC, Mt. Sinai) and has held multiple management and education positions. She has taught in a number of nursing programs at UMass, Mass Bay CC, Downstate Medical Center, Cornell University, and Hunter College, to name a few. Even now, Dot continues to train physicians and nurses in the fields of lasers and aesthetics.
Prior to Opening LSCS, she was the Clinical Education Director at Candela Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer of lasers. While there, she managed a staff of nurses who trained physicians and their staff on the use of the lasers, working directly with sales, marketing, and engineering for product launches and creating all clinical education programs.
Since 2002, she has led aesthetic nurses through the path to creating themselves as a specific field of nursing, generating groups to help define their practice through the Board of Nursing in Massachusetts. She has testified multiple times at the State House and the BORN to allow nurses to safely work in these independent roles.
Over the years, she started her business with lasers (hair removal and vascular) and has added additional services (skin rejuvenation, body contouring, weight management, incontinence). She has successfully injected thousands of patients with different Botox products, has applied Kybella, Sculptra, and other dermal fillers, and has assisted patients in solving problems with PRP/Collagen induction, hair restoration, threads, TMJ, and hyperhidrosis. She is certified and has taught extensively in all of these areas.
