What Should I Expect?

Laser therapy is a safe, effective and commonly used treatment, providing optimal results in areas such as the removal of unwanted hair, skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, leg veins, tattoos and the treatment of acne.

Lasers work by delivering an intense beam of light that is absorbed by the skin. This light is converted to heat and is absorbed by the cells being targeted, while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected. Our lasers feature a patented skin-cooling device called the Dynamic Cooling Device for greater patient comfort and safety – and better results.

You will wear safety glasses to protect your eyes during the procedure. The laser operator will use a small handpiece that touches your skin to deliver the light. You may feel a light spray of coolant on your skin before each laser pulse.

For each skin or laser treatment, you can expect a quick update on your medical history, protection of your eyes and protection of your skin, both the lasered area and the non-lasered area. Each treatment will build on the previous treatment and you will see results over time.

Since each laser is a specialized laser for a certain target, (pigment, blood, skin, water) you cannot compare your friend’s treatment to yours, as each plan is developed especially for you. If you have had a previous unfulfilling experience elsewhere, please let us know and we can ensure that your experience will be what you expect.

You should expect respect, privacy and competence. You will receive care which will assist you in defying age, reduce unsightly skin blemishes and concerns, and reduce hair in places you never dreamed would have such an effect on your self esteem. You will receive follow-up care over certain intervals and you should feel free to ask any questions you may have.
